Meteorologists expect cold weather on Sunday during the day along the northern coasts and in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, and central Sinai, with warm weather predicted for Upper Egypt, South Sinai, and along the Red Sea mountains.
The weather is expected to grow very cold across the country by nightfall.
Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 16C in Alexandria, 18C in Cairo, 23C in Aswan, and 22C in Qena and Luxor.
Low- and medium-level clouds are anticipated across most of the country, accompanied by rainfall in different parts of northern Upper Egypt, Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, along the northern coasts, and in central Sinai.
Winds will be mostly northwestern and moderate in most parts of the country, with active winds predicted along the northwestern coasts, possibly disrupting maritime navigation on the Mediterranean Sea.
Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be moderate to rough, ranging between two and 2.5 meters in height, while waves in the Red Sea will be moderate, ranging between 1.4 and 1.8 meters in height, with northwestern surface winds on both seas.
