The Democratic Coalition has called on the military council and the prime minister to form a new government capable of securing a peaceful power transition and organizing upcoming parliamentary elections.
In a statement issued by Wafd Party President Sayyed al-Badawy, the coalition announced its support for the revolution’s demands, and called for removing certain governors and purging the media of former regime figures.
The statement also said the constitutional committee should represent all Egyptians and not only those who would win a majority in parliament.
