Clashes break out between Brotherhood protesters and police

Clashes broke out between dozens of Muslim Brotherhood protesters and police after Friday prayers during a march on Sudan street.

Protesters allegedly threw stones and Molotov cocktails at security forces stationed on the street, prompting them to respond with tear gas canisters and chase them into side streets.

The protesters burned tires in an effort to reduce the effect of the tear gas.

Meanwhile, Mostafa Mahmoud Square was closed with barriers and armored vehicles were stationed on the Orabi flyover in anticipation of protests.
