A significant decrease in temperature is expected to occur, to drop between 4 and 5 degrees Celsius starting Thursday until Sunday, said head of the Meteorology Authority Board Ahmed Abdel Aal on Tuesday.
Cold weather will prevail during the day and very cold weather at night in most parts of the country. It will reach a freezing point in North Sinai and central Sinai. Weather will be mild in Upper Egypt and South Sinai during daylight hours, he added.
Disturbances in maritime traffic is expected due to a high probability of rainfall along the north coast, including Alexandria, Matrouh, and north Delta, starting next Saturday.
