The chief of the Arish police station’s investigations department Mohamed Khaled Abdel Latif succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday.
The death resulted from the injuries he suffered during the terrorist attack launched against the police station 10 days ago.
The police station was attacked on April 12 by unknown gunmen, leaving at least 13 people dead and dozens of others wounded on Sunday.
That same day, a military statement said a roadside bomb detonated by militants killed six soldiers and wounded two others in an attack on an armored military vehicle in the town of Sheikh Zuweid. Later on the same day, a car bomb killed at least seven people and wounded 44 others, according to medical sources.
