Two children were killed and 17 injured when a ceiling collapsed during a private tutoring session in Egypt’s Daqahlia governorate.
The tragic incident occurred in the Ezbet Semaan village, affiliated with the Beni Ebeid district.
The children were attending a “private lesson” with a teacher, who was arrested following the incident.
The students’ ages ranged between nine to years years old, and they were in the fourth grade of elementary school, while a seven-year-old child arrived at the hospital already deceased.
Authorities are investigating the incident to uncover the circumstances behind it.
