The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) says it is paying big attention to small and medium-sized enterprises (SME)s.
A CBE statement issued Tuesday pointed to an initiative by the bank to fund small companies and facilities.
According to a CBE definition the size of business of macro-sized companies should not reach LE1 million.
Very small enterprises range from LE1 million to less than LE10 million, the CBE said.
Small-sized firms range from LE10 million to less than LE20 million, whereas medium-sized projects range from LE20 million to less than LE100 million, the statement added.
