CBE report: EU is no. 1 trade partner to Egypt

Egypt's foreign trade went up by 1.5 per cent to reach 85.9 billion dollars during the fiscal year 2013/2014.
 
According to a report by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), the payments surpassed commodity imports by 3.7 per cent to reach 59.8 billion dollars, and commodity exports decreased by 3.2 per cent to reach 26.1 billion dollars.
 
The CBE report added that the European Union is the no. 1 trade partner to Egypt with 30.7 per cent of the total foreign trade, followed by the Arab countries with 25.8 per cent and the Asian countries with 18.2 per cent.
