The Central Bank of Egypt will suspend work for banks across the country on Thursday, in celebration of the anniversary of the January 25 Revolution and Police Day.
The CBE said in a statement on Sunday that bank work will resume by January 28.
As Friday and Saturday are the weekend in Egypt, the holiday period will be three days.
Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly announced that January 25 is an official paid holiday for workers in ministries, government departments, public bodies, local administration units, public sector companies, public business sector companies, and private sector companies.
