Case against EgyptAir officials postponed to December

The North Cairo Criminal Court on Tuesday postponed the trial of five Civil Aviation leaders. who are charged with squandering US$9,669,493 and intentionally harming EgyptAir, to 1 December.

The defendants include four current and former EgyptAir officials, with the fifth having no affiiliation with the company.

According to investigations, EgyptAir's officials sold two airplanes at prices lower than their actual rates.

The defense asked for the case to be postponed to review the charges brought against the defendants.

The defense said the defendants had no criminal intentions and that there is no evidence to prove that they intentionally wasted the company’s money.
