Three people were killed and another 14 were injured in a car accident at the Danfeeq village in Upper Egypt.
Security services were able to identify the driver and one of the passengers, while a body of a 14-year old remained unidentified.
Security sources said that before the crash, the car driver lost control of the driving wheel while trying to overpass a truck.
The injured were transferred to a public hospital in Qena. Doctors were able to treat eight of the injured while the other six were transferred to a hospital in Naqada.
Car accidents are considered as the second most common cause of death in Egypt. A governmental report issued in May revealed that 18 people were killed in road accidents daily in 2009.
