Campaign started to boycott goods produced by Egyptian military

Egyptian activists launched a campaign on Facebook calling for a boycott of all goods produced and distributed by the Egyptian military.

The page called “Boycott them” says, “The Egyptian armed forces have an economic empire made up of factories and companies that are not supervised by the state or Parliament.”

The page lists these goods, which include food products and even cars, and calls on citizens to boycott them until the military council hands over power to civilians.

The campaign is part of a call for civil disobedience on 11 February to demand that the military relinquish power.
