Calm prevailed at the vicinity of Al-Azhar University in Nasr City and Mostafa al-Mahas road was reopened following clashes betweem pro-Muslim Brotherhood students and security forces Monday.
The security forces returned the Brotherhood students to the university and emergency responders put out fires that had caught on tires and tree branches.
The security forces arrested a number of students after which traffic returned to normal.
