Egypt's Cabinet, headed by Prime Minister Hazem al-Beblawy, has condemned an explosive attack on Interior Minister Mohamed Ibrahim's convoy in Nasr City on Thursday.
The attack reportedly resulted in at least ten injuries.
“This criminal attack will not deter the government from facing terrorism with strength and ferocity,” a statement released by the Cabinet said.
The statement threatened those attempting to harm the security of the country, and vowed to bring stability back to Egypt.
Beblawy is said to be closely following developments as well as ongoing efforts to arrest those responsible for the attack.
