Cabinet spokesperson Hossam al-Qawish said on Thursday that the restructuring of electricity prices is under study.
He also said that power outages would be announced in advance and he called on citizens to rationalize consumption.
“We will not have a dark summer,” he said, adding that some people steal electricity from public cables. "We report 2,000 thefts to police every day.”
