Butane gas cylinders’ crisis continues

The butane gas cylinders' crisis continued in several governorates on Monday.
 
In Daqahliya, fights erupted between citizens standing in long lines for several hours along Suez Canal Street. A 65-year old woman fainted in the line after waiting for more than five hours. Disputes took place between citizens and the vendors who sell the cylinders on the streets as they tried to get to the cylinders before the citizens.
 
Hundreds of citizens waited in long lines in front of Mansour stadium to get the newly administered gas coupons from the supply department.
 
In new Damietta city, a system has been applied to distribute the cylinders using coupons. The price for one cylinder is LE10
 
In Sohag, citizens complained about the price of cylinders which has reached LE80 in the black market.
 
Meanwhile, Qena governor Abdel Hamid al-Haggan said 25,000 cylinders have been pumped into the market.
