Brotherhood students clashed with security forces in Minya when they blocked the Cairo-Aswan road outside Minya University on Tuesday.
The students allegedly tried to burn an armored vehicle, which prompted the forces to disperse them with tear gas, escalating the clashes.
The students returned to campus and began to throw stones and fireworks from behind the gates, while more security forces were deployed to prevent them from leaving to the streets of the city.
