Brotherhood protesters, police clash in Helwan

Clashes erupted between supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood, who set off on a march in Helwan after the Friday prayers, and security forces.
 
The protesters threw Molotov cocktails at the security forces who responded with tear gas canisters, resulting in injuries on both sides.
 
Police stepped up their presence outside vital installations, such as Helwan University, the courts complex, churches, banks, Helwan police station and the metro station.
