Muslim Brotherhood General Guide Mohamed Badie announced on Tuesday that he had appointed six spokesmen for the group.
Inaugurating a new branch for the group in Monufiya Governorate, Badie said that the Muslim Brothers do not seek power, and that the revolution was a blessing from God.
Group Secretary General Mahmoud Hussein said the group is not fielding candidates in the presidential elections, nor did it support former group member Selim al-Awa for president.
He also said the group would not take part in the demonstration slated for 8 July to press for writing the constitution before holding parliamentary elections, which the group considers a violation of the will of the majority.
However, a number of young group members said they would participate in the demonstration.
