President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi received a telephone call from British Prime Minister Theresa May on Wednesday, congratulating him on his re-election for a second term in office.
Spokesperson for the Presidency Bassam Rady said that May wished him success in carrying out his duties.
May also expressed her eagerness to continue efforts of developing relations between the two countries in various fields.
Rady added that Sisi expressed his appreciation to the British prime minister, stressing Egypt’s keenness to strengthen bilateral cooperation with the UK at various levels in the coming period to achieve the common interests of the two countries.
