Brazilian cartoonist Carlos Latuff said he will continue drawing cartoons that attack the ruling Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) and the government until Egyptians get freedom.
In a message to Egyptians posted Tuesday on YouTube, Latuff said he has been following the events of the revolution since it first began in January and has drawn many cartoons depicting the country.
Egypt's new rulers are no different from their predecessors who ruled under ousted President Hosni Mubarak, he said in the message.
The police and armed forces are still firing live ammunition and tear gas at protesters, he said, expressing his admiration of Egyptians’ courage in facing repression.
Latuff said he wished he could be beside revolutionaries in Tahrir Square, however, he thinks he would be arrested at the airport if he tried to come to Egypt.
