Emergency respondants say they found morning a bomb structure missing explosive material on Saturday in the vicinity of Shebin al-Qanater Court in Qaliubiya.
The Interior Ministry said in a statement it had received a communication about the existence of a strange body inside a bag at Shebin al-Qanater Court. The security forces combed the area in search of other bombs.
Egypt has been victim to constant bomb threats since the ouster of the country's first democratically-elected president Mohamed Morsy. After the violent dispersal of Morsy's Islamist supporters in Rabaa al-Adaweya square by the military, many extremists have vowed revenge and plotted multiple terrorist attacks against the new military-led regime.
