Bohouth metro station closed after gunshot during pro-Morsy march

Ahmed Abdel Hady, media spokesperson for the metro company, said they have closed the Bohouth metro station in Dokki after a shot was fired at a march for supporters of ousted President Mohamed Morsy above the station.

In statements to the press, he said that the police has asked for the station to be closed to preserve the lives of workers and passengers.

Abdel Haday said the remaining metro stations are operating normally.

Morsy supporters organized a march from Ahmed Oraby Street to Gameat al-Dowal al-Arabiya Street in Mohandeseen when clashes broke out between them and unknown assailants close to Bohouth station.

The two sides hurled Molotov cocktails and empty bottles after the shot was fired at the protest.
