Bodies of 84 Egyptian victims of Storm Daniel recovered from Libya

The Municipal Council in Tobruk, Libya, announced on Tuesday that bodies of the 84 Egyptians who perished in the flooding brought by Storm Daniel have been recovered from the city of Derna and transferred to the Tobruk Medical Center.

The casualties of the storm that swept the cities of eastern Libya continue to increase, as search and rescue efforts mount up to recover the missing.

Storm Daniel has claimed thousands of lives and submerged entire areas, with Derna now a disaster zone.

The flooding that swept through the city of Derna alone resulted in the deaths of more than 2,300 people, 7,000 injured, and more than 5,000 others missing, the AFP reported on Tuesday.
