A bomb exploded in the town of Sheikh Zuwayed in North Sinai early Sunday morning, without causing any damages or casualties .
The security sources said that unidentified suspects planted a package in the vicinity of Sheikh Zuwayed Tax Aurhority.
The blast could be heard all around the city and neighboring areas, though the incident left no damage or casualties as the building and the surrounding area were completely empty.
Immediately at the time of the blast, security forces started firing heavily, then combed the whole area and surroundings, searching for other explosive devices.
Investigation into the incident is currently under way to identify and capture the perpetrators behind the bomb.
