‘Birdwatcher’ awarded best photography in documentary film festival

Thirty documentary films have competed in the 11th Sakiet El-Sawy Documentary Film Festival.
 
"Birdwatcher", produced by Al-Masry Al-Youm and photographed by Mohamed Hisham was awarded best photography.
 
“The film talks about professions that are not famous,” Hisham said. “I filmed the journey of an Egyptian birdwatcher from Ras Gharib through to Port Fouad and Fayoum.”
 
The first prize went to “+ 70,” directed by Ahmed Bakush, while the film “Koshk,” directed by Mina William Badie, was awarded best feature film.
 
The jury included Ghada Gabbara, dean of the Cinema Institute, photographer Mohsen Ahmed and film director Ashraf Fayek.
