A police agent died early on Monday of wounds he sustained nine days ago when gunmen shot him on his way to work, the Interior Ministry has said.
Police and army forces have been targets for deadly gun attacks and bombings since the 2013 ouster of former president Mohamed Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood, which is blamed for many blasts and gun attacks on security troops by the government.
