Reda al-Fouly, the belly-dancing star of the “Sib Idi” seductive video clip, reportedly screamed from inside the dock when the court referred her case to an economic court.
The Agouza Appeal Court on Sunday held the first session to hear the appeal of Fouly, the cameraman Risk Ahmed, and Wael Siddiki, the Egyptian actor with US citizenship, who have all been sentenced to one year in prison and another year under police surveillance for inciting debauchery and offending public decency.
Siddiki has fled the country following the charges.
The photographer said he appeared in the clip just for a few seconds as a courtesy to his friend Siddiki.
She claimed that Siddiki posted the clip on the Internet without her permission. “We were supposed to edit it first,” she said.
