Beit al-Sennari in Sayeda Zeinab is commemorating the 40th anniversary of Umm Kulthum's passing, who died on 3 February 1975.
Khaled Azab of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina said the commemoration will include seminars, photographs and documents collected by the Egypt Contemporary Memory Project.
Ayman Mansour, deputy director of the special projects management, said Beit al-Sennari is always keen to celebrate the symbols of culture, art and literature in Egypt.
