The terrorist group Islamic State beheaded on Monday four suspects in the Iraqi city of Mosul for allegedly being homosexuals, according to the Spanish news agency EFE.
Iraqi official Mohamed al-Fares said in remarks that the group members called on residents of al-Rashidiya, north of Mosul, to attend the execution of the four persons, whose ages ranged between 20-30 years old, over homosexuality and violating Islamic sharia, EFE added.
The judge of IS, called Taha Yassin, read the verdict of the court against the suspects, Fares added. He added that the terrorists beheaded the victims using knives while shouting religious slogans, though many citizens escaped the gruesome scene.
In January, the same group hurled other four victims off roof over the same charge.
