Armed Bedouins kidnapped Egyptian movie star Khaled El Sawy and 250 others from the cast and crew of the new TV series “Solomon’s Ring” on Tuesday while an episode was shot in Sidi Kreir, west of Alexandria.
The kidnappers refused to accept LE10,000 for the release of the hostages, insisting on LE30,000, which they had had to pay after having been previously captured for more than five hours.
In the neighboring Al-Bitash beach in the Agamy resort region, two thugs driving a zodiac fired into the air to scare people away, leaving their belongings behind for them to steal.
Police arrested one of the thugs, while the other managed to flee.
