Beblawy meets Egyptian community in UAE

Prime Minister Hazem al-Beblawy met with members of the Egyptian community in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), discussing political and economic developments with them.

Beblawy is visiting the small Gulf state at the moment, part of a wider political and economic delegation aimed at bolstering ties between the two countries.

Ihab Hamouda, Egypt's ambassador to the UAE, said: "The UAE always sets an example in supporting Arab countries in crises and difficult circumstances. The UAE's support for Egypt extends to political, economic and investment fields."

"The visit of the Egyptian prime minister to the UAE expresses the gratitude and appreciation to the UAE leadership and people on its historic support of the demands of the Egyptian people on 30 June," Hamouda added.

Education Minister Mahmoud Abu al-Nasr meanwhile met his Emirati counterpart, Humaid Mohamed al-Qattami, on Thursday, signing a joint programme aimed at improving educational ties between the two countries.
