Bahraini king issues royal decree forming new cabinet

Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has issued Royal Decree No. 68 of 2022 forming the cabinet, state news agency BNA reported Monday.

Under Article 1 of the decree, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa is appointed as Deputy Prime Minister.

Article 2 stipulates the following appointments: Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa as Minister of Interior, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Alzayani as Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa as Minister of Finance and National Economy, Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan as Minister of Labor and Ghanim bin Fadhl Al Bouainain as Parliament Minister.

Abdulla bin Hassan Alnoaimi was appointed as Minister of Defense Affairs, Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak as Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, Dr Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Daina as Oil and Environment Minister, Mohammed bin Thamer Al Kaabi as Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, and Ibrahim bin Hassan Al Hawaj as Minister of Works.

According to the same article, Youssef bin Abdulhussein Khalaf was appointed as Minister of Legal Affairs, Osama bin Ahmed Khalaf Al Asfoor as Minister of Social Development, Yasser bin Ibrahim Humaidan as Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs, Dr Jaleela bint Al Sayyed Jawad Hasan as Minister of Health, Nawaf bin Mohammed Al Ma’awda as Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, Hamad bin Faisal Al Malki as Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Amna bint Ahmed Al Romaihi as Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, Noor bint Ali Al Khulaif as Minister of Sustainable Development, Fatima bint Jaffar Al Sairafi as Minister of Tourism, Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Alnoaimi as Minister of Information Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Mubarak Juma as Minister of Education, Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro as Minister of Industry and Commerce, and Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi as Minister of Youth Affairs.

Under Article 3, the Prime Minister shall implement provisions of this royal decree which takes effect upon its publication in the official Gazette. (MENA)
