Badie, Shater trial set for 25 August

A Cairo court has set 25 August as the date for the trial of six Muslim Brotherhood leaders, including Supreme Guide Mohamed Badie and his deputy, Kairat al-Shater.
 
All six defendants have been charged with incitement to kill demonstrators outside the organization's Guidance Bureau headquarters in Moqattam, eastern Cairo.
 
The other defendants have been named as Mostafa Abdel Azim al-Bishlawy, his brother Mohamed, Atef Abdel Gelil al-Semary, and Guidance Bureau member Mohamed Rashad Bayoumy.
 
Shater, Bishlawy and Bayoumy are currently being held by authorities.
 
The defendants are also charged with premeditated murder, as well as possession of explosives, firearms and automatic rifles.
