Badie’s ‘Adua’ retrial postponed to August 30

The Minya Criminal Court postponed on Sunday the retrial of Muslim Brotherhood Guide Mohamed Badie and 78 others in the case known as the “Adua” incident to August 30 in order to discuss the testimonies of the prosecution's witnesses.

The court also ordered that Ehab Sobhy, the sheriff of the Adua police station, be summoned as per the defense's request.

On August 14, 2013, rioters stormed the police station of the city of Adua in Minya, burned it down and killed a police officer after the dispersal of the Rabaa al-Adaweya and al-Nahda Brotherhood sit-ins.
