Bad weather kills 3, injures 11

The wave of bad weather which hit the country this week continued on Wednesday, causing three deaths and 11 injuries.
 
A state of confusion dominated traffic on highways and main roads in Cairo and other governorates, and a number of seaports were closed. Traffic was also diverted after falling trees blocked several roads.
 
In Beheira, a 5th primary school student was killed after a palm tree fell on him.
 
In Alexandria, a child was killed when a window fell from a building onto her in the Montaza area.
 
Another child was killed and one injured as part of a wall fell on them in Monufiya. 
 
Seven were injured in Beni Suef in a collision on the agricultural road between a trailer and a microbus.
 
In North Sinai, 3 students were injured after a water tank fell on them due high wind speeds.
 
The General Directorate of Traffic in Cairo and Giza is putting together a comprehensive plan to raise awareness of the dangers that could threaten drivers as a result of bad weather.
