Three people have died due to raging winds and heavy rainfall in the Alexandria Governorate as bad weather caused 28 buildings to partially collapse.
One man died at the town of Muntazah, east of the city of Alexandria, as he was crushed by a tree. In the town of Raml, also east of the city, a student was killed as part of a building collapsed. The third victim, a worker, died under a falling metal post.
Several clubs and halls overlooking the beaches have been flooded with water. Authorities received 28 reports of collapsing buildings, nine of car damages, and 58 of electrical short-circuits.
Rains hindered traffic at different areas. Traffic authorities ratcheted up their efforts to facilitate movement. Sewage cars, meanwhile, worked on draining waters from the streets.
