President of Azhar University Salama Dawoud congratulated on Sunday Mufti of Egypt Shawki Allam over President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi’s decision to extend his mandate for one year.
In a statement, Dawoud said Allam has made great contributions to the nation through constructive participation in all local, regional and international forums that are based on moderation.
On other hand Advisor to the President of the Republic for Religious Affairs Osama Al-Azhari congratulated on Sunday Mufti of Egypt Shawki Allam over President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi’s decision to extend his mandate for one year.
In a statement, the senior clergyman hailed the efforts exerted by Egypt’s Dar Al-Ifta to serve Islam and the Muslim nation.
He also commended the religious institution, the country’s official body for issuing fatwas (religious edicts), for its commitment to keep up with digital transformation.
