Awqaf Minister Osama al-Azhari asserted on Monday 24/2/2025 that Egypt’s position on the Palestinian cause does not express the individual determination, but it expresses the opinion of more than two billion Muslims around the world.
The minister’s remarks came at a meeting with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim in the Malaysian government’s premises in the capital Putrajaya during the Egyptian minister’s official visit.
The visit is aiming to boost cooperation between Egypt and Malaysia in the religious and cultural fields and expanding vistas of joint action in spreading the moderate teachings of Islam and promoting moderation discourse.
For his part, the Malaysian prime minister said his country is fully backing the Egyptian position on the cause. He reiterated Malaysia’s support for the unity of Muslims.
