Looking for a hotel that comes with a foolproof romance guarantee? Guests have vouched for an adults-only boutique in Aruba set against white sandy beaches and turquoise waters, helping it snag the title of world’s most romantic hotel.
With Valentine’s Day around the corner, TripAdvisor has released a list of the most romantic hotels in the world, based on the quantity and quality of guest reviews.
Taking the top spot is the Bucuti and Tara Beach Resort Aruba, a four-Diamond property with nary a crying child in sight, designed with the couple in mind.
A look at TripAdvisor’s review forum shows steadfast loyalty among its guests, many of whom are repeat visitors or choose to spend milestone events — honeymoons and wedding anniversaries — at the Aruba resort.
"This was a 25th wedding anniversary trip and the Bucuti did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived we were treated to exceptional customer service…champagne, and beautiful accommodations. The staff was attentive without being intrusive. The beach was lovely and we truly enjoyed the adults only policy.”
Though the rooms are bright, airy and modern in decor, and hotel staff given heaps of praise, the biggest selling point is its location on Eagle Beach, which is studded with rows of palm trees and offers paradisiacal views.
To amp up the mood even more, the hotel can also arrange for a beach dinner under the stars, a sunset sail and couples massages.
The average room rate at the Bucuti is s $443.
While the rest of the list features properties in hot and sunny destinations, a cottage in North Devon, England managed to crack the second spot thanks to its elegant British countryside decor and bucolic setting. The Old Rectory Hotel was also named “The Best Small Hotel” by England’s official tourism agency.
