The two arsonists who burned the Agouza nightclub have confessed to the crime, according to Interior Ministry spokesperson Abu Bakr Abdel Kerim.
Abdel Kerim explained that Hamasa, a student, and Al-Magnoun, a mechanic, burned the place down with the help of two others that the police are still looking for.
He denied that the nightclub belonged to senior officials from the Culture and Interior ministries.
The fire left 16 people dead and many others wounded.
