Azmy Megahed, media spokesperson for the Egyptian Football Association, said armed forces officials confirmed with the association's board of directors in a phone conversation that the Ahly-Zamalek match will be played at its scheduled time Wednesday.
In statements to German news service DPA, Megahed said the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces would provide security for the match and for the Dutch referees.
He also said both clubs were notified that the match would be played
