Army distributes supplies in Kerdasa

The army sent 10 trucks loads of food supplies to the town of Kerdasa in Giza, to be distributed among residents.

The distribution of food was supervised by Major General Ihab al-Sharqawy, amid residents who chanted slogans praising the army and Defense Minister Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.

Meanwhile, security forces stationed in Kerdasa arrested a suspect who faces the charges of breaking into the Kerdasa police station. The defendant faces charges in 80 cases.

After the dispersal of the sit-ins staged by supporters of deposed President Mohamed Morsy in Rabea al-Adaweya and Nahda square last month, the Kerdasa police department was broken into by supporters of Morsy, torturing and killing 11 officers.

Earlier this month, the town was invaded by joint police and army forces to bring it back under the control of the state and to catch the attackers.
