Arab Tourism Committee calls for facilities for Arab tourists

The Committee of Arab Tourism, which is part of the Federation of Tourism, submitted a proposal to the Tourism Ministry to eliminate obstacles facing Arab tourists traveling to Egypt.

The proposal focuses on Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan, Lebanon, the Maghreb countries and the United Arab Emirates as the six major markets, according to official statistics. It recommends facilitating visas for Arabs belonging to these countries.

According to the committee, EgyptAir needs to reduce their prices for these tourists, especially from the Sharm el-Sheikh and Hurghada airports.

The proposal calls for the preparation of an agenda of events in Hurghada, Sahl Hasheesh and Sharm el-Sheikh on Thursday and Friday of every week.

Arab tourists constitute 18 percent of foreign tourists coming to Egypt.
