The mission dispatched by the Arab League to monitor the presidential elections in Egypt described on Thursday the elections as "outstanding," adding its remarks about the electoral process do not have to do with the fairness of the elections.
Head of the mission and Assistant Secretary General for Media Affairs and Communications of the Arab League Haifa Abu Ghazala said in a press conference Thursday that the elections went seamlessly and that the observations recorded by the mission over the past three days would not influence the fairness of the elections.
Abu Ghazala added negative remarks that have been monitored were just observations of technical nature and could be addressed in the future.
