An anti-Muslim Brotherhood protest grew substantially on Friday, after a small turnout in previous days. Estimates put the number at nearly 2000 demonstrators gathered.
Protesters chanted “Down with the rule of the Murshid,” “The Brotherhood is illegitimate,” “The people want the fall of the regime,” also saying, “The people want re-elections.”
The protest began this week in front of the monument of the unknown soldier in Nasr City. Organizers have called for a civil state, no to Islamization of the government, and the upholding of the Supreme Constitutional Court’s dissolution of the Parliament.
