Security forces seized 71 anti-aircraft rounds in North Sinai’s al-Hasna area, according to state news agency MENA.
The Criminal Research Department for the North Sinai security directorate said the ammunition was likely remnants of the six-day war between Israel and Egypt decades ago.
Security officers seized the weaponry without incident or making arrests. The Public Prosecution is set to begin an investigation into the ammunitions cache.
