Egyptian media host Amr Adib commented on the Israeli newspaper “Jerusalem Post” publishing a photo showing President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi with his late Iranian counterpart Ebrahim Raisi.
During his show “al-Hekaya” (The Story), on MBC Masr on Friday, Adib described the Israeli newspaper’s behavior as “impudent.”
“What the Israeli Jerusalem Post did, when it published a picture of President Sisi with the slain Iranian president, is impolite and sends a message that this could be President Sisi’s fate. This is a threat. Secondly, it wants to tell the world that Egypt is on its way to becoming a rogue state, like Iran.”
Adib addressed US President Donald Trump, saying: “You want Egypt to be a rogue state. This country will not accept displacement (of Palestinians). No means no. You united all the (Egyptian) people for the first time in this way since July 3 (Egyptian revolution against Muslim Brotherhood rule).”
