Amonsito workers continued their sit-in Tuesday before the parliament building in Cairo for the sixteenth consecutive day, awaiting next Thursday’s parliamentary session that will address their demands.
Independent MP Mustafa Bakry joined the protesters for three hours on Monday, bringing them food and juices, and promising to support them in the upcoming session. "If parliament doesn’t resolve their problem on Thursday I will join them," he said.
A few meters away, a group of physically-disabled persons continued their protest, demanding jobs in accordance with a law that compels public and private sector companies to reserve five percent of their job vacancies for the handicapped.
