American delegation inspectors praise EgyptAir security

The Chairman of EgyptAir Holding Company Safwat Mesallam received, on Thursday, a delegation from the US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) who have been on a 4-day visit to Cairo to review the security measures on the company's flights to New York, between February 19 to 23. 

The US aviation inspectors praised the security of EgyptAir flights to New York after they reviewed the Cairo Airport and aircrafts security procedures; contingency plans; procedures for the registration of passengers; luggage inspection and security procedures; and passenger inspection procedures, according to Mesallam.
 
Major General Ismail Abdel Gawad, head of the EgyptAir security sector, said in a statement Friday that the US team applauded during their final meeting with representatives of the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority and praised the Ministry of Aviation EgyptAir security procedures and efforts to raise the airport security system.
 
The TSA delegation reviews the security measures applied to EgyptAir flights to New York twice a year, to ensure the safety and security of flights.
 
Since 2004, this was the twenty-seventh visit for the TSA inspectors where Egypt successfully passed the examination.
